Akila bersama seorang temannya yang lain, yang tidak disebutkan namanya resmi menjadi tersangka pembunuhan bayi Adam.
Saat sang ibu, Farrah Madihah Othman menjemput anak-anaknya, Akila berdalih bahwa bayi Adam dijemput seseorang yang mengaku ayahnya.
Farrah panik, tetapi juga ragu dengan pernyataan itu karena suaminya tidak tahu tempat penitipan bayi tersebut.
Keterangan yang janggal itu, akhirnya membuka kasus pembunuhan bayi Adam.
Kasus tersebut membuat heboh Malaysia sampai-sampai Wakil Perdana Menteri Malaysia kala itu, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail ikut mengecam pembunuhan tersebut sebagai kasus yang tidak berperikemanusiaan.
Kepolisian menyebutkan, Akila mengaku Adam tersedak oleh susu sehingga meninggal dunia.
Namun, polisi menduga tersangka melakukan penganiayaan terhadap bayi Adam karena dari hasil visum menunjukkan adanya pendarahan di kepala serta tempurung kepala bayi malang itu juga mengalami retak.
Zian Hafiz, ayah bayi tersebut menyatakan bahwa kepala bayinya sempat diketuk dan tubuhnya diguncang oleh pengasuh tersebut karena kesal bayi Adam terus menangis sepanjang hari.
Setelah perbuatan itu, Adam diam dan tidak bergerak lagi.
“Saya sempat menanyakan kepada abangnya, apakah ia melihat sesuatu yang terjadi kepada adiknya.
Ia mengatakan, adiknya terus menangis. Ia melihat kepala Adam diketuk (dipukul) dan tubuhnya diguncang.
Setelah itu Adam berhenti menangis,” kata Zian Hafiz seperti dilansir Berita Harian.
Zian mengatakan, istrinya mengenali pengasuh itu melalui Facebook dan mereka sepakat untuk menitipkan tiga anaknya dengan upah RM 650 (sekitar Rp 2,7 juta) sebulan.
Dua minggu sejak anak-anaknya dititipkan tidak ada masalah,.
Anak-anaknya juga tidak mengungkapkan keluhan apapun tentang pengasuh tersebut.
“Malah abangnya mengatakan, wanita itu kerap memberi mereka makan nasi ayam sehingga perasaan saya, berat badan anak saya bertambah,” katanya.
Karena itulah, mereka sangat terkejut dengan kejadian ini.
Atas kejadian tersebut, Zian dan istrinya menjadi khawatir untuk menitipkan anak-anak mereka.
“Abangnya juga pernah dipukul oleh pengasuh sebelum ini sehingga kami ragu untuk menitipkan anak-anak lagi. Tapi mau tak mau, nanti kami memang harus mencari penitipan karena kami berdua bekerja,” katanya.
Dua pengasuh yang menjadi tersangka, dibawa kembali oleh polisi ke rumahnya untuk olah tempat kejadian perkara.(70infoviral)
