Rahmat Ali merupakan warga asal Kampung Cirumput, Desa Salaawi, Kecamatan Sukaraja, Kabupaten Sukabumi.
Meski telah menginjak usia senja, rambut sudah dipenuhi dengan uban, janggut mulai memutih, ia masih terlihat sehat.
“Hampir setiap hari tuyul ini saya bawa ke mana-mana,” katanya sambil menunjuk kotak panjang berwana merah saat ditemui di Jalan Perpustakaan, Kota Sukabumi, Rabu (24/3/2021).
Tuyul yang dia maksud bukanlah tuyul yang sering dianggap masyarakat sebagai mahluk gaib.
Tuyul dimaksud kakek tinggi kurus tersebut merupakan sebuah alat kesehatan yaitu tensimeter.
“Ini hampir selama 40 tahun, alat ini dapat menghasilkan uang, juga dapat menghidupi istri dan anak-anak. Sehingga saya selalu menyebutnya tuyul,” ucapnya sambil tersenyum lebar pada beberapa orang di sekitarnya.
Kakek bertopi loreng ini mengisahkan, sebelum berprofesi sebagai jasa tensi darah keliling, ia merupakan seorang honorer penyuluh kesehatan di Kecamatan Sukarja, Sukabumi sekitar akhir tahun 1970.
Pertama menjadi penyuluh di bidang kesehatan, kakek lulusan Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkatan Atas (SLTA) ini dibayar sebesar Rp 15 ribu per bulan, setelah menginjak satu tahun upahnya sebagai honorer naik menjadi Rp 35 ribu per bulan.
“Saat itu gaji sebesar Rp 35 ribu, sedangkan utang ke warung untuk keperluan rumah tangga mencapi Rp 45 ribu.
Setelah hampir selama tiga tahun menjadi penyuluh, saya mencari pekerjaan lain,” katanya.
Pada akhirnya sekitar tahun 1973-an, Rahmat diterima di perusahaan batu bara sebagai teknisi.
Namun tidak bertahan lama, hingga akhirnya ia memutuskan mencari pekerjaan lain ke kota lain.
Berbekal ilmu pendidikan kesehatan ketika sebagai honorer penyuluh kesehatan, ia memutuskan untuk berprofesi sebagai jasa tensi keling.
“Waktu itu ketika awal menjadi jasa tensi keling, setiap orang memberi upah Rp 1.00, dan dalam sehari bisa menghasilan sebesar Rp 80 ribu,” katanya.
Ia tidak mematok harga kepada para pelanggannya. Namun dari jasanya itu dia bisa mendapatkan uang sebesar Rp 30 ribu hingga Rp 50 ribu per hari.
Tidak jarang ia menemukan orang yang tidak membayar jasanya tersebut.
Sudah hampir selama 40 tahun ia melakoni jasa tensi darah keliling.
Ia sudah berhasil menyekolahkan anaknya hingga ke perguruan tinggi di Bandung.
Kini anaknya itu sudah menjadi guru dan telah diangkat sebagai ASN.
“Anak ada empat, dua laki-laki, dan dua perempuan, namun satu anak saya yang laki-laki meninggal. Sedangkan kedua anak perempuan sudah menikah dan dibawa suaminya. Alhamdulillah satu anak saya kin sudah menjadi guru,” katanya sambil membereskan alat tensi yang sudah ia gunakan.
Kini hampir setiap hari dia membawa tas selempang dan tas warna berwana hijau di pinggangnya. Alat tensi darah dia genggam.
Tidak kenal lelah langkah demi langkah ia menyusuri permukiman warga hingga perkantoran yang ada di Kota dan Kabupaten Sukabumi untuk mencari warga yang ingin memakai jasanya. (detikviral)
