Lintas.co.id(Tanjung Jabung Barat) – Dalam rangka pemberdayaan Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir (TPA) untuk ketahanan pangan, Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Tanjung Jabung Barat (Tanjabbar) menggelar kegiatan panen raya di Desa Lubuk Terentang, Kecamatan Betara, Selasa (9/2/2021).
Kegiatan tersebut di hadiri langsung oleh Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat Dr. Ir. H. Safrial MS, kepala departemen humas SKK migas sumbagsel Andi Arie, kepala OPD, Kapolsek Betara, serta Camat Betara dan Staf. Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat Dr. Ir. H. Safrial MS Dalam sambutannya menyampaikan, bahwa lahan yang di manfaatkan oleh Pemkab melalui Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Tanjabbar ini memilki banyak multifungsi untuk bercocok tanam.
“Dinas kita ini kreatif, mereka membuat daur ulang sampah menjadi pupuk untuk bercocok tanam, dan itu untuk membuat lahan kosong di kawasan betara ini menjadi lahan tempat untuk ketahanan pangan yang melibatkan warga setempat,” ujar Bupati. Lebih lanjut disampaikan Bupati, terkait produksi ketahanan pangan yang di hasilkan oleh dinas lingkungan hidup yang bekerjasama dengan pihak SKK migas ini harus lebih luas lagi di pasarkan, sehingga pangan yang di hasilkan oleh Pemerintah tanjabbar ini memiliki nilai di Kabupaten lain.
“Sekarang kita sudah terhubung ke Batam, jadi kita sudah dengan MOU dengan Walikota Batam. Dan Batam siap menerima sembako dari Tanjung Jabung Barat khususnya, dan itu menjadi kesempatan kita dalam memasarkan produk hasil Tanjabbar,” terang Safrial.
Safrial berharap, agar lahan ini terus di pelihara oleh kelompok-kelompok tani dan melibatkan Pemerintah setempat dan bumdes di Desa setempat.
“Jadi saya berharap nanti bumdes kita ini ikut terlibat dalam membangun ketahanan pangan yang ada di Tanjabbar ini, karena kita ingin menciptakan jiwa-jiwa pengusaha dan meningkatkan perekonomian kita yang ada di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat,” harapnya.
“Kualitas produksinya jangan ditanya lagi, tanah di Tanjabbar ini sangat baik untuk di cocok tanam, saya lihat tadi sama pak Bupati hasil terong, cabe dan jagung hasilnya besar-besar,” tandasnya. Untuk di ketahui. (red)
