Batanghari – Dinas Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura kabupaten Batanghari menerima bantuan Alat Mesin Pertanian (Alsintan) berupa Power Thresher (Alat perontok padi) yang bersumber dari APBD kabupaten Batanghari tahun 2021.
Kepala Dinas Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura Batanghari, Mara Mulya Pane melalui Kabid Prasarana dan Sarana Pertanian, Ir. Darwin Nasution mengatakan, bantuan alsintan Power Thresher ini yang bersumber dari APBD Batanghari ini akan diberikan kepada kelompok tani (Poktan) yang ada di 7 Kecamatan di wilayah Batanghari.
“Dengan adanya bantuan alsintan itu, dimaksudkan dapat membantu petani, apalagi menjelang musim panen padi,” kata Darwin pada Rabu (17/3/2021).
Untuk tahun ini, diakui Darwin, ada 27 unit Power Thresher yang akan di berikan kepada kelompok tani di Batanghari, terkecuali di kecamatan Bajubang.
“Alat ini hanya untuk 7 kecamatan, diantaranya Muarabulian, Pemayung, Muaratemebsi, Mersam, Batin, Maro Sebo Ilir dan Maro Sebo Ulu,” jelasnya.
Darwin menjelaskan, dengan bantuan peralatan alsintan tersebut, tentunya akan sangat bermanfaat bagi petani (Poktan) didalam penanganan panen dan pasca panen hasil kegiatan usahatani secara lebih mudah, cepat dan murah.
Menurutnya, fasilitas alat dan mesin pertanian tersebut, diyakini akan memicu semangat dan motivasi bagi petani (poktan) untuk lebih serius lagi menekuni kegiatan usaha taninya. Keterbatasan tenaga kerja petani dapat disiasati dengan dukungan alsintan dan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG).
“Kebutuhan alsintan sebetulnya sangat besar, namun karena keterbatasan anggaran saat ini akibat refocusing anggaran untuk penanganan wabah Covid-19 hendaknya membuat petani (poktan) yang belum mendapatkannya bisa bersabar menunggu giliran untuk mendapat bantuan alsintan yang sama,” pungkasnya.
