Pemandangan tersebut adalah bagian dari skenario latihan antisipasi kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Provinsi Jambi. Hadir langsung untuk melihat rangkaian proses latihan tersebut Pj.Gubernur Jambi Dr. Hari Nur Cahya Murni, M.Si, Kapolda Jambi Irjen Pol A Rachmad Wibowo, Danrem 042/GAPU Brigadir Jenderal TNI Zulkifli, Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi Edi Purwanto, Senin sore (8/3).
Dalam kesempatan dilakukan skenario latihan untuk menangani terjadi kebakaran lahan dan hutan di salah satu daerah di Jambi dan terpantau dari asap digital dan CCTV. Kemudian tim karhutla Provinsi Jambi memerintahkan tim udara dan tim tindak gabungan untuk menuju lokasi, dan melakukan penangkapan, kemudian helikopter dan tim tindak beserta pelaku dibawa ke posko untuk dilakukan tindak pemeriksaan. Setelah itu helikopter kembali ke TKP untuk mengantar tim pemadam api, regu pertama menggunakan jet suter. Helikopter kembali droping regu yang menggunakan gebyor yang berguna untuk pemadaman lahan. Tahap akhir adalah helikopter mengevakuasi semua tim yang ada di lapangan dan api telah dinyatakan padam.
Usai menyaksikan proses latihan tersebut Pj. Gubernur dalam wawancara dengan media menyatakan bahwa pemerintah Provinsi Jambi memiliki komitmen bersama untuk mencegah terjadinya kebakaran hutan dan lahan. “ Karena tergabung dengan Forkompimda tadi yang menjadi koreksi kita adalah peralatan kita yang belum memadai, setelah ini kita mungkin akan bicara bagaimana cara menambah helikopter barangkali, dengan sumber sumber dana yang sah tentunya, kita akan bersatu padu, untuk itu dalam rangka antisipasi dan pencegahan, karena lebih bagus kita mencegah daripada memadamkan.
