Pangdam II/Sriwijaya bersama Danrem 042/Gapu Brigjen Zulkifli ke Kabupaten Merangin, disambut Bupati Merangin H Al Haris bersama Wabup H Mashuri, Pj Sekda H Hendri Maidalef, Ketua DPRD Merangin Herman Effendi, Kapolres Merangin AKBP M Lutfi dan Ketua Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Merangin Dr Mussa, serta sejumlah tokok masyarakat di pelataran rumah dinas bupati.
‘’Kami berterimakasih sekali atas kunjungan kerja Bapak Pangdam II/Sriwijaya Mayjen TNI Irwan, bersama rombongan ke Kabupaten Merangin. Bimbingan dan masukan beliau untuk membangun Merangin sangat kami butuhkan,’’ujar Bupati.
Usai sarapan pagi, Selasa (7/7) Pandam melakukan kunjungan ke Kodim 0420/Sarko, guna memberi pengarahan dan bimbingan kepada para anggota TNI di jajaran Kodim 0420 Sarko.
Selanjutnya Pangdam bersama rombongan bertolak menuju kawasan terpadu Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) di Desa Lubuk Jering, Kecamatan Air Hitam, Kabupaten Sarolangun. (gas).
