Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di Lapangan Bakti Karya Persitaj tersebut turut dihadiri oleh, Unsur Forkopimda, Ketua Pengadilan Agama, Staf Ahli, Asisten, Kepala OPD, Ketua Koni dan Ketua PSSI Tanjung Jabung Barat, para camat serta tamu undangan lainnya.
Mengawali sambutannya, Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat Drs.H.Anwat Sadat,M.Ag sampaikan terimakasih dan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada segenap peserta seluruh kecamatan, panitia dan pihak yang telah berperan dalam mensukseskan turnamen ini sehingga dapat berjalan lancar, tertib, aman dan sukses.
Dilanjutkannya bahwa, pelaksanaan turnamen bukan hanya sebagai even kompetensi dalam meraih prestasi, akan tetapi yang paling penting adalah menumbuhkan rasa persaudaraan dan persatuan serta merupakan salah satu cara untuk menyalurkan minat bakat anak-anak agar tidak terkontaminasi pengaruh buruk narkoba dan obat-obat psikotropika yang makin marak dikalangan generasi muda.
Menurut Bupati, pelajaran penting lain yang bisa dipetik melalui turnamen ini adalah bahwa yang paling siaplah yang akhirnya bisa mencapai prestasi terbaik.
“Dalam pengertian, kesebelasan yang berlatih dengan keras dan disiplin yang tinggi, yang ditangani secara profesional dan berdedikasi tinggilah yang pada akhirnya akan tampil sebagai juara,”ucapnya.

Sementara itu, Bupati juga menghimbau kepada atlet-atlet terbaik dari masing-masing kecamatan yang terpilih untuk mewakili Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat di turnamen Gubernur Cup Tahun 2023, agar selanjutnya dapat lebih disiplin dan mematuhi proses tahapan latihan yang diberikan oleh manager dan pelatih nantinya.
Usai membacakan sambutan, Bupati didampingi pejabat lainnya serahkan tropi kepada Juara I, II, dan III yaitu Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi, Kecamatan Renah Mendaluh, dan Kecamatan Tungkal Ilir. Selain itu juga diserahkan Tropi bergilir kepada Camat Tebing Tinggi serta hadiah kepada Top Score yang di raih oleh Marjohan pemain dari Kecamatan Tungkal Ilir. (Adv)
