Lintas.co.id Sebelas orang tewas setelah menenggak minuman keras (miras) oplosan saat upacara pemakaman di sebuah desa Kamboja.
Miras oplosan atau sake ala mereka biasa disajikan di acara besar seperti pernikahan dan upacara pemakaman di perdesaan Kamboja. Beberapa bahan dicampur agar harganya murah.
Peristiwa itu terjadi pada Jumat (2/7/2021) saat upacara pemakaman di Provinsi Kampot, sekitar 155 kilometer dari Ibu Kota Phnom Penh. Sejak itu minuman beralkohol hasil racikan mulai memakan korban. Hingga Minggu (4/7/2021) 11 orang tewas dan 10 lainnya masih dirawat di rumah sakit.
“Para korban mengeluhkan pusing setelah menenggak miras itu,” kata seorang pejabat kepolisian Kampot.
Petugas masih menyelidiki dengan mengumpulkan sampel miras yang dikonsumsi para korban.
Dalam 2 bulan terakhir, lebih dari 30 orang tewas dalam tiga insiden terpisah di Kamboja mrias oplosan. Umumnya mereka menambahkan metanol, cairan beracun yang dapat menyebabkan kebutaan.
Akibat maraknya miras oplosan itu, setidaknya 15 pembuat dan penjual miras ditangkap pada bulan lalu.
Kementerian Kesehatan Kamboja juga menyerukan kepada warga untuk menghindari miras yang tak jelas pembuatannya.
