Masa jabatan 149 Kepala Desa (Kades) di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi resmi diperpanjang sesuai Undang Undang Nomor 3 Tahun 2024 tentang perubahan kedua Undang Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa.
Pengukuhan dan penyerahan Surat Keputusan (SK) perpanjangan masa jabatan Kades dilakukan oleh Penjabat (Pj) Bupati Muaro Jambi Raden Najmi di Gedung Serba Guna Muaro Jambi, Rabu (19/06/24).
Acara tersebut diawali dengan pengukuhan oleh Pj. Bupati Muaro Jambi Raden Najmi, dilanjutkan penyerahan SK kepada masing-masing kepala desa.
Pj. Bupati Raden Najmi, menyampaikan bahwa pengukuhan dan penyerahan Keputusan Bupati Muaro Jambi tentang Perpanjangan Masa Jabatan Kepala Desa se Kabupaten Muaro Jambi mendasari ketentuan dari Pasal 39 ayat (1) dan Pasal 118 huruf e Undang-Undang Nomor 3 Tahun 2024 tentang Perubahan Kedua atas Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa bahwa masa jabatan Kepala Desa yang sebelumnya 6 tahun menjadi 8 tahun sehingga perlu dilakukan Perpanjangan Masa Jabatan Kepala Desa 2 tahun.
“Saya secara pribadi dan atas nama Pemerintah Kabupaten Muaro Jambi mengucapkan selamat dan sukses kepada para kepala desa yang telah dikukuhkan dan diperpanjang masa jabatannya,” katanya saat memberikan sambutan dihadapan para Kades.
Hal ini, lanjut Pj. Bupati, adalah berkat kebersamaan dan keterpaduan serta kedewasaan berpolitik seluruh komponen masyarakat.
Harapannya ini dapat menjadi modal bersama untuk selanjutnya menghadapi Pilkada serentak yaitu pemilihan Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur, serta Pemilihan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati yang akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27 November tahun 2024 mendatang.
“Saya juga berharap kepala desa menjadi garda terdepan memberikan contoh kepada warganya guna mensukseskan PILKADA 2024,” tandasnya. (red)
